This exploited flaw is a local privilege escalation issue affecting the Windows operating system.

The exploited vulnerability is described as a use-after-free flaw residing within the afd.sys Windows kernel-mode driver. This particular driver is associated with the Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock, a component critical for network communication within Windows environments.
