DNSFilter has launched a new Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) program, allowing other companies to integrate its DNS threat protection, domain analysis, and privacy solutions into their own products. The program is now publicly available and has already been adopted by some partners.
Under this initiative, ISPs, cybersecurity firms, device manufacturers, and application developers can embed DNSFilter's technology. Partners have two primary product options: DNSFilter Protective DNS, which focuses on DNS-layer filtering and blocking malicious domains, or DNSFilter Guardian Firewall and VPN services, offering full-device traffic encryption and privacy. Companies can also choose to bundle both offerings.
DNSFilter is providing three commercial models for its partners: reselling and bundling the solutions, offering an embedded (headless) integration, or a white-label co-branding option specifically for ISPs and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). The company emphasizes that there is no platform lock-in and that integrations can block threats immediately upon implementation.
The company's existing OEM integrations already support over 65 million users daily. DNSFilter's platform processes 200 billion DNS queries each day, utilizing a global network of over 225 servers in more than 85 countries. It reports blocking more than 235 million threats daily, scanning 2 million domains per second, and protecting over 45,000 organizations.
DNSFilter's Guardian Firewall and VPN is currently in use on Amazon's eero home and small business networks, providing privacy and threat blocking at a consumer scale. The new OEM program aims to make this same proven, large-scale protection available to power a new generation of security products developed by partners.
To streamline the integration process for developers, DNSFilter has developed a dedicated Software Developer Kit (SDK). This SDK is designed to reduce the time from initial interest to full integration. Developers can access a sandbox environment, configure their systems, and model their solutions before committing to a partnership. According to DNSFilter, this approach allows developers to test and see real threats blocked within minutes. The SDK supports integration across multiple operating systems, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, Android, FireOS, and Windows.
DNSFilter CEO Ken Carnesi stated that the company is opening up its global network, which he claims catches attacks up to ten days earlier than other solutions. He highlighted that partners do not need to build the infrastructure themselves, as they can connect to a system already proven at a massive scale.
