Rapid7 is set to showcase its "preemptive security" approach at Black Hat USA 2026, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas this August. The company's presence will include a booth in the Business Hall, dedicated demonstrations, expert-led sessions, and a two-day event at the Border Grill.
The core theme for Rapid7's presentation is preemptive security, which aims to help security teams anticipate risks, respond rapidly, and maintain an accurate view of their security and compliance posture. The company's booth, #2445, will be open from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4; 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5; and 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6. The booth will feature two demonstration stations, seating, and Rapid7 experts. A chess-inspired theme will underscore the concept of anticipating and acting before an incident occurs.
Live demonstrations at the booth will cover four key areas of the Rapid7 platform. These include predictive risk and vulnerability management, which focuses on prioritizing remediation based on attacker behavior and exposure context. Agentic threat detection and response will highlight the Rapid7 AI Engine and Kenzo Security technology for adaptive investigations and reducing analyst workload. Continuous compliance automation will demonstrate how Cyber GRC integrates governance workflows with live security data, automates evidence collection, and identifies control drift. Finally, Preemptive MDR will showcase continuous SOC operations, exposure context, and Rapid7 Labs threat intelligence to enhance internal security team coverage.
Black Hat will also mark the general availability of Cyber GRC, a solution designed to bridge security operations and governance teams by connecting GRC workflows with real-time security data. Cyber GRC draws evidence from SecOps telemetry into compliance dashboards and uses AI-assisted workflows to automate tasks like third-party risk questionnaires. Attendees can also learn about Preemptive MDR Alerts, predictive vulnerability management, and enhanced agentic SOC investigations, some of which will be presented as early-access previews. These capabilities combine exposure data, asset criticality, threat intelligence, and detection context to help identify potential attack vectors.
Rapid7 will also host events at the Border Grill at Mandalay Bay on Wednesday, August 5, and Thursday, August 6. This venue will offer additional demonstrations, meeting areas, expert presentations, and opportunities to interact with Rapid7 leaders. Scheduled presentations include "Preemptive Security for the Age of AI" by Executive Chairman Corey Thomas on Wednesday, August 5, from 12:00–12:45 p.m., discussing AI-driven threats and the shift to preemptive security. On Thursday, August 6, Lisa Washburn, Senior Director of Product Management, will present "Agentic SOC: Threat Detection and Response" from 9:30–10:15 a.m., focusing on AI agents for alert investigation. Jon Schipp, Senior Director of Product Management, will follow with "Cyber GRC in the Age of AI" from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m., detailing how live security data supports continuous audit readiness. The Border Grill will also host a Rapid7 Happy Hour on Wednesday, with VIP access starting at 4:00 p.m. and general admission from 5:00–7:30 p.m.
In addition to the company's platform showcases, Rapid7 security researchers Jack Heysel and Spencer McIntyre will present "The Metasploit Framework 6.5: Malleable C2 Payloads, New Relay Capability and Protocol Session Upgrades" at Arsenal Station 4 in the Business Hall on Wednesday, August 5, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Attendees interested in specific demonstrations or meetings can book time with the Rapid7 team in advance or visit their booth or the Border Grill event.
