Before you call
- Have the date, time, amount, account or wallet ids, sender addresses and any URLs ready. Screenshots with the address bar visible are best.
- If money left a bank account, call the bank first and ask them to freeze and recall the transfer. Then file the report and give the bank the reference number.
- Do not wipe or reinstall a compromised device until you have been told it is safe to; it may hold the evidence.
